I quit but they said I would have to be back to start the “termination process” what does this mean?
I’ve been working at Wal-mart for a year now and just quit because of an extremely disagreeable assistant manager. Who tells employees they look emo and make comments about suicide to them. And also call employees tweekers (note I wasn’t one of them) But his constant vulgar language and his enjoyment of harassing employees and having to find some thing wrong with every ones job when we are running under half staff as is.
Because of all of this I felt it wasn’t worth 8.45 an hour for 3rd shift and I quit. He told me that I have been terminated and would have to come back to fill out paper work for the termination process..
My understanding being terminated means being fired and not quitting… What does this mean?
my suggestion would be to go and get a copy of everything you sign. I quit working at wal-mart 10 years ago for similar assistant manager nonsense. Of course after quitting, the last thing I wanted to do was fill out paper work, but when potential employers called to verify that I quit, wal-mart informed them that I had been fired. Fortunately it’s been long enough now that I don’t even bother listing them as a past employer, but they could make getting another job very tough for you.
