also if it was under 25$ or 30 $ and it was last week but left due to leaving out of town and are now back in town..what you should or can do so no problems?
do the attendants get in trouble usually?

I can only tell you what I have been told when I was a fuel attendant
1) report it to the police
2) give a detailed account of the dive off what type of car, plate #, description of the person.
3) log it in your paperwork (so that your drawer will balance)
YOU should go to the store manager give him the money and clear it up with the police if not and they find you they can and will usually prosecute (they do not have a good seance of humor about theft)
