where do the wal-mart dome cameras point towards?

I don’t want anyone to steal from wal-mart so i was wondering where those cameras in walmart point its just like a globe and tinted. can they really catch people stealing like that? i tried to look for some videos on youtube. Are some of the cameras fake?

They point in a strategic direction, but the reason the dome is there is so that people don’t know exactly where it is pointing so there is a possibility it is pointing at them. Most of the time, though no one is sitting in the security room watching the monitors. Like literally, 80% of the time no one is watching. It’s mostly so they can go back and look at the recordings if an accident or theft happens.
Wal-Mart doesn’t really catch people with their cameras. If they see a suspicious person or group they have an employee sort of keep an eye on them. Suspicious people are people who spend a long time in the store without putting things in the cart, are a certain age (teenagers or young adults), and shop in certain areas of the store (health and beauty, electronics, and clothes). Some day try going to those areas and doing those things. Soon enough you will see an employee “nonchalantly” following you around and watching you.
I worked at Wal-Mart for a little while and I know a lot of people who do so I kind of got the inside scoop.
