I have a check for 4,280.00
My bank was closed for the weekend by the time i got the check. I called walmart to see if they would cash it and they said they only cash up to 2900.00. I was wondering if they would cash the check and give me the 2900.00 and put the rest left over like 1300.00 on a MoneyCard?? I know i’ll have to call to find out but i wanted to ask here first before dealing with their rude employees.
Also, the website states that there is NO fee for putting money onto a money card. BUT does it cost to get a MoneyCard? Also, it says that i can withdraw the money from the MoneyCard, is that going to be a hastle??
There are 2 other walmarts that are close by, do you think there policy on how high of a check they can cash will be the same at all walmarts, the 2900.00?

What you don’t say is why you are in such a hurry to cash this check.
Since you don’t mention any emergency, it might be better to wait until your bank opens on Monday and you’ve had a chance to give some clear thought about what you need to do with this sum.
I just get this sinking feeling that it’s the weekend and you’re frantic to go out and blow it.
