Should I buy A Plasma TV on Black Friday or wait until after Christmas?

So I see Walmart is having a Sanyo 50″ 720p for $599 :) Now that is a pretty crazy price but should I wait to see what Deals will happen after Christmas? I would like a little better Plasma BUT $599 is sooooo good of deal
Thanks

$600 is a good deal. But $600 is still $600. Why spend that much on an inferior brand? What if the TV dies on you in 2-3 years, or sooner? Wouldn’t it be worth it to spend more, knowing that you can get like 10 or 20 years out of your TV? I really think for both image quality and long term reliability you need to go with a top tier brand. Panasonic should be your primary choice, as they are the leader in Plasma. Samsung and LG are viable options as well though (a slight notch down, but still good brands).

The Samsung 50″ 1080p for $900 at Best Buy is a good buy (Black Friday sale that is). I think they also have a Samsung 50″ 720p Plasma as well. The best Black Friday plasma deal that I’ve seen though is Best Buy’s 50″ 1080p Panasonic Viera AND Panasonic BluRay player, both, for $1,000. That’s a steal of a deal.

If you want to wait after Christmas, I’d actually say you’re better off waiting until March. That’s when new models will potentially roll out. So you can sometimes score some liquidation sales on the previous year’s models. But its always a risk as to whether or not you’d get a better price. Its a possibility, but you never really know.
