i bought a schwinn bike from wal-mart, bad idea? or good?

i needed a bike that i could carry stuff with in a rear basket and front possibly , i am not a heavy rider i am very casual and i just needed a bike for quick rides to the store and leisure rides i would be exhausted if i biked like 5 miles or something! i know walmart bikes are bad but will i have a hard time witht his model the reviews wer emostly good,http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5585805
i know the quality of these bikes has gone down but i need a bike that i can carry stuff with ans isn’t expensive i’m not 12 a huffy isn’t going to do it.
it hasn’t even arrived yet, i want a second opinion now so i can return it if i need to before it’s too late

It should be good for what you want it for. You may have to adjust the rear derailleur in the next week or two but that is very easy to do. If you have too many problems you can return it in the next 90 days so keep your receipt in a safe place. It only has 7 speeds so that eliminates any problems with the front shifter.

I bought a Schwinn mountain bike a little over two years ago and I had to replace the front chain rings so it would shift right (they are good about the warranty). I also had to readjust the wheel bearings. I use it on my trainer and it has about 1500 miles on it.
