Return food at wal mart for store credit?

can i buy food with food stamps at wal mart and return it for store credit and get something non food related? has anyone tried this before?

It never hurts to try, but analyze it for a minute if you return an unopened item you will definitely need a receipt with will say that you paid with food stamps and they will either give you the money back or not it is up to them. I doubt it because the purpose of the food stamps is to purchase food.
