Is nursery water bad?

So i read online that nursery water is real bad for babies under the age of 1.

Ive been using nursery water since my baby was 5 or 6 months old to mix her formula. I even let her drink nursery water until she was 18-19 months old until i read an aritcle about how bad it was.

It also said using nursery water causes white spots on teeth cause of the added flouride… I do see white spots on her teeth.. i feel bad i didnt know.

then i just saw this:
The dentists are worried that fluoride exposure at this age will permanently damage teeth, not protect them. A growing body of research also links fluoride to weakened bones, reduced thyroid activity, and possibly bone cancer in boys.

The advice, however, has gone largely unheeded. Nursery Water, the nation’s leading fluoridated water for babies still markets its product nationwide at Wal-Mart and other major retailers.

Is this COMPLETELY true?!?! will it really damage her teeth? & weekend bones.. im worried now

Well, extra amounts of flouride being used in children under the age of six was found to cause some issues in studies about 10 years ago. Don’t worry about it unless your baby shows signs of issues. Look t all the kids that grew up on that water over the past 20 some odd years (I remember that from when I was little). When I was younger (read-too young for fluoride according to these studies-by far) my formula was mixed with the fluoride water, and starting at the age of 2 or 3 I took fluoride pills (the dentist prescribed them to me cause my brother and sister were getting them, and he just assumed that getting me used to it early would be good). I never had any issues because of this, except for the white spots on my front teeth. Nobody really notices them but me, and though they bug me a little, I’m okay with them.

If you are really worried talk to your doctor about it so they can ease your mind.
