What do people in North Dakota and Minnesota think of Winnipeg?

I used to work at wal-mart as a cashier and I noticed quite a few Americans from ND and Minnesota came through my till. I was wondering what you guys thought of Winnipeg?

I’ve been to Winnipeg several times and thought it was an okay area. The people were friendly except the folks that I actually stayed with (family), but the city in general is very suburban and local. Not too much excitement for a city person though.
