Should I list them or keep omitting them?
I was fired from Wal-Mart almost 2 years ago. I am no longer eligible to work for them. Not that I care anyways. I have since then went back to college to obtain my Pharmacy Technician certification. Since the grounds that I was fired in were not favorable I am afraid that adding them to my employment history will lessen my chances at any job..Then too I am afraid that not is going to mess me up too. What should I do? I think without doubt that Wal-Mart is going to black-ball me. I believe they have already in the past. What would you do?
I’ve had a bad empoyment experience too – had a huge fight with the boss and walked out, never to return (he was putting me down in front of customers for weeks before I snapped). I’ve NEVER put that place of employment on my resume…
HOWEVER
If the experience you had there is important to your employment history/experience, I think you should put it in and NOT offer it as a point of reference for a prospective employer. You can always say that the person you reported to no longer works there, OR if you have a really nice friend, get them to fake a reference for you.
