Is this any better than a Walmart Bicycle?

I’m on a fixed income…VA Disability Pension. Now, I could run out to Wal-Mart, K-Mart or such and buy a bike for $150 – $200 tops. But, I’ve heard horror stories. I can assemble the bike myself, as I have the tools & mechanically inclined. Do you guys out there in cyberspace think this one is any better? It has an aluminum frame vs. steel frames as found on most discount store bikes. Not sure on the rest of the specs. Your thoughts?

Bikesdirect would be hands down winner vs box store for me. As Fit is First, notice the bike in the link comes in a variety of sizes. Not so with WM where one size fits all. The components on bikesdirect bikes are far superior to those on the box store bikes. No brainer really.

Tip: to prevent rust on corrosive parts like nuts and bolts, coat with clear nail polish unless you live in a dry climate area.
