walmart 1000 gift card scam
I have received $1000.00 gift card offer to Walmart.. Is this a scam?

I have gotten in my e-mail saying you have received a $1000.00 gift card but some restrictions do apply. I was wondering if anyone else has been offered this and should I open it? I have heard that in some of these so called deals, once you fall into it, you then start receiving hundreds of junk mail offers. Thanks for your replies.

I received a check for $3,000 to start me off on being a Mystery Shopper.

The scam is that you cash the check, and have the money in hand. Then you are to go to some financial institution, get a money order for $100 and send it to them. In 3 weeks the bank comes back and tells you that the check bounced. And you are out $100.

Other scams just want your name address verified, with a little bit more data, you will be another victim of ID theft.

Another person just got a $200 dollar gift card at Wal-Mart. When they took it to the store they said it only had about $7 on it.
