Is the microSD 2gb compatible with the blackberry curve 8310?

i have tried to use this memory card in my phone but it wont work. So i took it out and now I out it back in and it wont even let my phone turn on. My phone is from AT&T so i went to the store and they gave me this phone number 1(800) 331-0500 but they couldn’t help. Do you think that it could be tat the memory card is just not compatible for my phone because i got it a walmart? Im really confused. Do you think that it is just something that is wrong with my phone. If so could i just mail it in to get a new phone. If i can get a new phone do you know the phone number to call for this or an address.PLEASE HELP!!
