walmart automotive oil change
when to go on maternity leave? (currently 32 weeks)?
I’m currently working 40 hours a week, sometimes more at walmart in the automotive department. it involves stocking shelfs and dealing with customers, writing up work orders for oil changes and such. i was working in the garage doing oil changes and tires, ect. but my boss wouldn’t let me do that any more.(can they tell me that anyways?) but i’m getting to the point where i’m tired all the time. and wonder if i should try to go to the due date or not.
i am on my feet allot.
i’m allowed up to 12 weeks off for leave. only two weeks paid with vac. and sick hours.
and this is my first baby. but i wonder about the due date sometimes because the ultra sound have always said she is bigger than average.
If this is your first baby, odds are that he or she won’t arrive on time. UNless you have complications you can probably go right up to your due date, but you don’t have to! If you can afford to take the time, then do it…when else in your life will you be able to put your feet up and no one will criticize? I went to 38 weeks with my first, and the night before with my second (NOT on purpose, he decided to come about 3 weeks early). If you’re tired, then you could cut back on hours instead of stopping altogether. Just don’t overdo it. Enjoy your resting time now…I’ve been told I’ll get to rest again in about 15 years!
