Walmart, finally carrying good pet food/treats?!?!?
I found four new brands of pet food/treats at Walmart yesterday:
Maxximum Nutrition (Dry Puppy Food)
Natural Life (Dry Adult Food & Dry Puppy Food & Canned Cat Food)
Newman’s Own (Canned Cat Food)
Three Dog Bakery (Dry Dog Biscuits & Chewy Dog Biscuits)
I looked at the ingredients and they all seemed very good. Are they? Because I thought that anything sold at Walmart for pets was crap.
I’m not wanting to feed them, but I was thinking about maybe using them for my fosters, or recommending them to my friend who is getting a dog and can’t pay too much for food and supplies (I don’t know why she’s getting one, I tried to tell her that right now is not the right time, but it didn’t work)…..
None of them are made by Nutro, I don’t think. I wouldn’t feed them if they were made by Nutro.
The only Nutro product I use is Nutro Ultra Holistic Biscuits.
My Walmart has been carrying Maxximum since last February– I remember because thats what Max was on when I adopted him.
Maxximum is a good food for what it is and its price. Max has a corn allergy and never showed a problem on the food or any of their treats.
For a 20 pd bag its like $22 dollars. A 22 pd bag (fed only to Max) lasted me a month and a few days being fed a cup and 1/4th twice per day every day.
I fed the Maxximum Adult Lamb & Rice formula in the gray bag with the golden retriever on the front prior to switching everyone over to Canidae in full.
