walmart hdmi switch
I just recently bought a 50′ DLP 1080i HD tv..i want to to connect my tv to my STB to get HD. Help??

I bought a HDMI cable at walmart, and hooked it up to the STB HDMI connection and the HDMI connection on the tv…and i can’t tell if i have HD or not….i push (input) button on my remote and switch the channel over to the HDMI input..and i can’t tell if i did it right….i need help!!
STB (Set-Top-Box)….i hooked up the HDMI cable to the back of the STB and the tv..and changed the channel to the HDMI input on the tv and i can’t tell if i have HD quality or sound at all….am i doing this right??? I need help!!

It sounds like you did it right. It’s not rocket science. HDMI is HDMI, regardless if you bought the cable at Wal-Mart or got ripped off buying a vastly over priced Monster cable.
“HDMI out” from box to “HDMI in” on the TV. That’s all there is to it. And you know to make sure your TV menu is set to HDMI. One last part: if you don’t subscribe to the HD package, you’re not getting any HD programing. :-)
