If I get last year’s Vaio laptop, will I be able to upload Windows 7 on it in October?

Walmart has a sale on their Vaios, but they look like last years. They are running on Vista and I’m wondering if it will be possible to buy and upload Windows 7 in October. Or if I get the Vaio in July will it be eligible for a free upgrade ( even if its last year’s)?

If it can handle Vista, it should be able to handle Windows 7.

You might want to wait a day to see if they’re eligible for the free Windows 7 upgrade system that will start taking effect most places.
