Why is a receipt and warranty not good enough to return a tractor mower at wal mart?

Wal Mart/Save Money. Live Better On May 27/08 @13:48:52 in Pehlam Alabama’s Wal Mart store, I made a cash purchase of a Yard Machine tractor mower. On June 24 2008 I wanted to exchange the mower, or have my money refunded. I was refused by Dawn, a clerk at the Calera store. She said that Wal Mart had a new policy. No returns of lawn mowers. Customers had to take them to small engine shops. I did. The small engine shop said they never dealt with Wal Mart, nor did they honor warranties. I went back to Walmart. Asked for the manager, Ms. Grace Gibson. She was at lunch. Another lady came, took all of my paper work, then Dawn,came back with my paper work. Would not return my money or exchange the mower. My question is, would you trust a store that does not stand behind the products they sell. Why aren’t the warranties any good? Will my delima ever be resolved?
