Walmart Associate Theft Policies.?

One of my closest friends was caught shoplifting a $5 ring from WalMart. Although she was not arrested or charged with her left, Her mother, an employee of the Walmart Optical Center, now fears that she will lose her job over her daughter’s mistake. Will this really happen? Will Walmart really penalize an associate over the poor decision her daugher make?

It shouldnt effect her, although they might do some playback on the camera system to make sure she wasnt involved. She should be okay but you never know, walmart doesnt have the best employee relation track record in the industry.
