Do you think it’s worth it for a Sam’s Club membership?

I went there the other day and got my son a big box of diapers. They used to be $34.99 and now are $39.99 but when I figured it up they are the same price as if you two boxes half the size at walmart plus actually that is cheaper because I have $2 off coupons and Sam’s doesn’t take coupons. So really it would cost $4 less for the diapers at walmart. However they do have some other deals at Sam’s you can’t get at the regular grocery store for instance I got a gallon of whole milk there for $2.15. So do you think the $40 membership a year is worth it or not? We are about to be a family of 4 sometimes 5 when we have my step-daughter for holidays and every other weekend. All three are still in diapers. Of course I could just talk my SIL into going every other week to get what I need since she has a membership.
She pays for it and I pay her back of course.
I don’t even know what a cosco is. We don’t have that in our area.

We go there weekly. It’s worth it to us and I like Sam’s for many things that Costco doesn’t carry. BUT in TRUTH if I shopped at winco or food for less or one of those discount grocery stores I know I would SAVE MORE and spend less just due to the sheer QUANTITY issues – but until I’m really hurting MORE for weekly food money – I’ll keep going to Sam’s Club personally.
